Åland, not to be confused with Holland, is a Swedish-speaking, 6,700-island archipelago, a semi-autonomous part of Finland, located between Sweden and Finland with a population of 29,000. The Åland Islands solution is an example of a successful and peaceful international disputes settlement. Also known for island-hopping bicycle tourists, apple orchards and seafaring traditions.
