Finland: The Happiest Country in the World

Since 2018, Finland ranks as the happiest country in the world in the UN World Happiness report.

Although the report measures subjective happiness, the study also attempts to explain each country’s score by referring to a range of factors.

Why is Finland so happy?

This presentation seeks to answer the question by introducing the concept of ‘an infrastructure of happiness’ – the societal factors that allow for happiness in Finland.
