Video: The Forest Republic of Finland, shorter video 3

Nature and sustainable development

Finland is the most heavily forested country in Europe, and about 75% of Finland’s total land area is covered in forest, mainly comprised of pine, spruce and birch. Forests have provided the staple of Finnish exports since the 17th century and contributed to Finnish innovations and success stories. In the future, new forestry products can help in the fight against climate change.

This video, commissioned by the Finnish Forest Foundation and Metsämiesten säätiö Foundation, is two minutes and 55 seconds in length. The imagery in the video features mostly landscapes with forests, but also urban areas and forestry products.
