Let’s talk about human rights. Your human rights. You’re one of 830 million people in the member states of the Council of Europe. This gives you rights and freedoms. You have the right to a fair trial, the right to not to be tortured, freedom of expression, freedom of assembly and association, freedom from discrimination based on gender, religion, ethnicity or any other grounds. You have the right to privacy and many other rights. In short: you have the right to live your life. What protects your human rights? The European Convention on Human Rights and other conventions of the Council of Europe. This is what Finland stands for.
