The Nordic countries have topped the UN’s annual World Happiness Report ever since it first appeared in 2012. Finland ranked as the happiest country in the world in the 2018 and 2019 editions, creating immense international interest in Finland and Finnish society. The eighth edition of the report is released on the International Day of Happiness, March 20, 2020.
